Love, Music & Philosophy

When Philosophy major Ken found out that the girl he’d been admiring was a shoo-in for the female lead of the college musical, he mentioned it to one of his buddies, who encouraged him to try out. Much to his surprise, he got the part. It was all good being next to the prettiest and it turned out, sweetest girl on campus. Until, that is, he saw the costume they wanted him to wear. Who wore ascots?

He showed it to his crony, who commented, “You’re gonna look like a poolside lounge lizard on crack. You must really be in love.”

“That which does not kill me makes me stronger. And yes, I am,” Ken replied.

One year later, Ken and Barbie’s German shepherd, Neitzche, served as ringbearer for their lovely and well-costumed wedding. Not an ascot in sight.
