Ganesha (Sanskrit गणेश) is the Hindu god of success and good fortune, though the removal of obstacles. So, he represents the inner shifts we can make when we call upon higher truth and use our discernment to have faith in God.
It is these inner shifts that open us to the flow of Divine blessings. Go after the outside gain from a solely acquisitive mindset and you keep yourself in fear. Go after inner peace and wisdom and good things happen naturally!
An interestingly and lesser known aspect of the Ganesha archetype is that he is creator of obstacles as well as their remover. Why would this be? Because it isn’t about the stuff; it’s about the spiritual growth that occurs in when we raise our consciousness above materialism and put our focus on Cause, rather than effects.
When we let go of grasping, our hands may more easily receive. We create our own obstacles with fear. When we surrender this fear on the altar of Love and ask the Holy Spirit to remove it, there is a mightly energy that is released.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
